Eryn Kudzinski
As Vice President, Eryn oversees and provides strategic leadership to the organization’s health, safety, security and risk management practices. Eryn works closely with CEA CAPA team members across the U.S. and internationally, as well as directly with our U.S. partner institutions, to ensure that our coordination of emergency response protocols is seamless and that our CEA CAPA staff is abreast of the most current health and safety issues in the field.
Eryn joined the CEA CAPA team in May 2021 after gaining 15 years of experience in international education at the Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA), with eight years serving in a full-time health and safety role. Eryn also lived abroad in Heredia, Costa Rica, to gain hands-on experience with study abroad students in an international setting. She has also held roles in academic affairs and program advising in education abroad and has a well-rounded view of the many facets of our field.
Eryn is well connected in the field of education abroad and risk management and has collaborated on several presentations at the Forum on Education Abroad conference, holds memberships in OSAC, Pulse, and the Forum, and has co-authored several health and safety publications in the field.

Health, Safety & Student Affairs Team
Alissa Mendes-Cashman
Alissa is the Health and Safety Manager on the Health, Safety & Student Affairs team at CEA CAPA. She works closely with students, staff, and partner institutions to coordinate predeparture and onsite student health and safety practices, while supporting U.S. based and onsite teams in the areas of student services, accommodation support, and incident management. Over the past decade, Alissa has worked in various capacities of higher education including academic and study abroad advising in both community college and large university settings. Alissa earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s degree in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University. During her undergraduate studies, Alissa studied abroad in Florence, Italy, then later returned to Macerata, Italy during her graduate program. Alissa enjoys working across teams to provide resources and support to students, aiding in their ability to experience high-impact and transformative experiences abroad.
Hannah Sutton
As Manager of Health & Safety, Hannah Sutton works across the organization to coordinate global health and safety practices, assist in emergency management, and provide pre-departure guidance and support to students preparing to participate on a CEA CAPA program. Hannah joined CEA CAPA in September 2021 and holds membership in OSAC and PULSE. Prior to joining CEA CAPA, she spent seven years in the study abroad provider world in roles focused on pre-departure support and advising. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Spanish from Butler University. As an undergrad, she spent a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland, an experience which introduced her to the value of engaging with different cultures and the personal growth that can happen when you challenge your comfort zone. Hannah has spent time travelling in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and outside of work, she enjoys reading, baking, and collecting houseplants.
